• Professional Development

    The MUJC is pleased to offer a Professional Development Series which provides participants with creative and practical resources for enhancing professional expertise. These programs are available to staff members from both member and non-member districts. The Professional Development inservices are held online and in the MUJC’s Professional Development Center in New Providence, which consists of two spacious presentation rooms with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. The inservice programs address all major areas of education and are designed to be practical with hands on activities and skills directly applicable to the classroom.  Some featured topics include: 

    • mindfulness and social emotional learning;
    • diversity, equity, and inclusion;
    • applied behavior analysis;
    • virtual and on-site teaching techniques and strategies;
    • RTI;
    • special education law;
    • paraprofessional training;
    • behavior management;
    • strategies for instruction in language arts, math, reading, science, social skills, social studies, special education, and technology;
    • training for support staff.
