The Regional Diagnostic Service Center
The Regional Diagnostic Service Center (RDSC) of the MUJC makes available to member and non-member school districts the expertise of a multidisciplinary team of special education professionals. The group includes child study team members, occupational and physical therapists, counselors, and speech/language and other specialists who can provide the varied services necessary to address the individualized needs of classified students.

The diagnostic services that are available include assessment, evaluation, consultation, recommendations, and instruction for students in the areas listed below.

The services of the RDSC specialists supplement those of the Special Services Departments of the local districts to enable them to meet the needs of their classified student populations. Districts can draw upon the RDSC to address parental requests for independent evaluations by member(s) of a child study team or to assess new referrals. Districts can also schedule RDSC personnel on a part-time basis to provide additional sessions of occupational, physical, and speech/language therapy, adaptive physical education, and specialized counseling when necessary to supplement the services of the full-time special education staff.
