Mission Statement
The purpose of Autism Education Foundation of the MUJC is to provide supplementary resources to students with autism to ensure that they are provided with comprehensive, quality educational programming which will enable them to reach their maximum potential and become independent, productive members of society.
What is Autism?
Autism is a pervasive developmental disability with a wide range of symptoms that affect a child's language, social, cognitive, and sensory development. Autism affects nearly 1 in 150 births. Although there is no cure for autism, structured teaching procedures enable students to maximize their skills and learning potential.
