Welcome to the
Developmental Learning Center - New Providence
The Developmental Learning Centers (DLC), administered by the Morris-Union Jointure Commission (MUJC), provide a public school program based on the principles of applied behavior analysis for students with autism or autistic-like behavior. They employ the principles of applied behavior analysis and its various instructional methodologies.
This involves analyzing a skill and breaking it down to small tasks taught in a structured and hierarchical manner. A very important aspect of applied behavior analysis is reinforcement.
DLC programs enroll students between the ages of 3 and 21 years of age. Students enrolled in MUJC's Developmental Learning Centers follow individualized educational plans developed by their local child study teams, DLC staff and parents.
